Stephenson Harwood advises Nissin Foods on acquisition of Gaemi Food

Stephenson Harwood has advised Nissin Foods on its acquisition of Korean snack manufacturer Gaemi Food.

Nissin Foods is a food company in Hong Kong and Mainland China with a diversified portfolio of brands, focusing primarily on the premium instant noodle segment of the market. Based in the Republic of Korea, Gaemi Food has a national brand portfolio that includes its flagship 'Baked Crispy Roll' product line and other product lines targeting the high-value market of children's and toddlers’ snacks.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Gaemi Food will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissin Foods. This acquisition will further add to Nissin Foods’ non-noodle business portfolio and expand its business by deepening its understanding of the Korean market.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by Hong Kong-based partner Amy Yu, who was supported by associates Michael Mok and David Chan.
