Paul Ho appointed Maritime, Trade and Offshore practice group leader in Greater China

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has appointed partner Paul Ho as the practice group leader of the Maritime, Trade and Offshore practice in Greater China, effective 1 May 2025.

Paul is a shipping specialist who has extensive experience in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious shipping matters, with a strong focus on shipbuilding, offshore construction, international trade, ship sale and purchase transactions. He frequently represents major international shipowners, charterers, shipyards, traders, banks and financial institutions.

Paul has been based in Shanghai since 2002 and has a deep understanding of the Chinese market. He is dual qualified in Hong Kong and England & Wales and speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Stephenson Harwood's Greater China Maritime, Trade and Offshore practice benefits from a base in mainland China and a truly international shipping practice, working alongside colleagues in Singapore, Seoul, London, Paris, Piraeus and Dubai. The team advises on a broad range of cross border shipping matters, representing Chinese corporates, international banks, insurance companies, shipowners, shipyards, marine insurers and IG P&I clubs, energy services companies, oil and gas business and commodities traders.
