Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its global employment, pensions and private wealth (EPP) practice with the arrival of immigration lawyer Jessica Yu. She joins the firm as a partner in the London office.

Jessica's practice focuses on UK immigration and nationality advice, advising clients including HNW individuals and corporate entities. For private clients, Jessica regularly advises in relation to the investor, innovator, and global talent categories, as well as on complex family matters involving relocation to the UK, indefinite leave to remain and British citizenship. She also advises EEA nationals on the EU Settlement Scheme and their UK immigration status post-Brexit. For corporate entities, Jessica provides support on the sponsor licence process and subsequent sponsorship of skilled workers. She joins the firm from Macfarlanes.

"We are delighted that Jessica is joining us. Immigration is an integral part of our offering to clients and Jessica's arrival to head the team underlines our commitment to continuing to grow our award winning private wealth offering," said Jenny McKeown, head of EPP, Stephenson Harwood. "Developing and strengthening our immigration practice with a lawyer of Jessica's skillset and calibre ensures we are able to support our clients with any immigration and nationality matters they face. She brings a wealth of expertise and has the experience of running a successful immigration practice at a City law firm."

Stephenson Harwood’s immigration practice is part of the firm’s multidisciplinary global EPP group. The full service, international group advises on both litigation and advisory matters across employment, pensions, incentives, immigration and private wealth.
