公司事务 | 05/02/2024

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its Asia-Pacific corporate practice with the arrival of partner Amy Yu, who joins the firm in Hong Kong.

An equity capital markets and M&A lawyer, Amy has extensive experience advising on IPOs, public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures, and compliance and regulatory matters relating to listed companies.

"Amy's experience and skill set will add greater depth to our regional M&A practice and strengthen our IPO offering," said Evangeline Quek, Stephenson Harwood's Greater China office managing partner. "Her practice will fit seamlessly with other corporate team members and she will be an invaluable addition as the practice continues to grow."

"Amy will be an important asset to the team and will add depth to our mainstream M&A offering," said Jane Ng, the practice group leader of the Hong Kong office's corporate finance team. "She has advised a number of Greater China's leading investment banks and financial institutions on their IPO and transactional work, and her experience in listings of biotech companies aligns with the firm's life sciences area of focus."

"As the most recent of a number of significant additions to the team across our Greater China and Singapore offices, Amy's arrival supports the firm’s strategic ambitions in the Asia-Pacific region," said Tom Nicholls, global head of corporate, Stephenson Harwood. “The addition of a lawyer of Amy’s calibre, with her expertise advising on high profile IPOs and M&A transactions, greatly enhances the support we can provide to our clients in the region."

Established in 1979, the Hong Kong office was the first of Stephenson Harwood's Greater China offices. It was one of the first UK firms to open in Hong Kong and then mainland China. The office offers a comprehensive spectrum of Stephenson Harwood’s global services including dispute resolution, commercial, technology, corporate, employment, finance, marine and international trade, private wealth, real estate, regulation and restructuring and insolvency.
