Stephenson Harwood have published this report in response to the Department of Business and Trade's review of the opt-out collective actions regime.

Informed by a series of interviews with academics, practitioners, former tribunal members, policy experts and consumer advocates, the report examines the UK's collective actions regime at a critical juncture. It provides practical recommendations on the regime's future, including expanding beyond competition-only claims, strengthening case management, and addressing the uncertainty related to the enforceability of litigation funding agreements that has disrupted the funding market.
