Tom advises clients on a wide range of corporate finance transactions, including public company IPOs and secondary issues — acting for both issuers and banks — as well as private and public company acquisitions and general company law matters. He has experience working with UK, Australian, and international clients across sectors such as mining and exploration, healthcare, life sciences, and technology.

  • Cavendish

    Advised Cavendish in its role as nominated adviser, bookrunner and broker to MHA plc on its £271 million initial public offering on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, one of the largest AIM IPOs in recent years.

  • Power Probe plc

    Advised Power Probe plc, a leading producer of automotive electrical diagnostic tools, on its £60 million AIM IPO.

  • Strand Hanson and Cavendish

    Advised Strand Hanson and Cavendish in their respective roles as nominated adviser and broker to Pathos Communications plc on its £20 million AIM IPO.

  • Augmentum Fintech plc

    Advised Main Market listed Augmentum, the UK’s first listed investment fund focussed on fintech, on its £185.7 million takeover by Verdane Fund Manager AB. The transaction was governed by the Takeover Code and effected by a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement.

  • Novacyt S.A.

    Advised long-standing AIM and Euronext Paris-listed diagnostics client Novacyt in relation to its recommended takeover of Yourgene Health plc. The transaction was governed by the Takeover Code and effected by a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement. Also advised Novacyt on subsequent fundraisings.

    Advised AIM and ASX listed Australian mineral sands producer Base Resources on the UK aspects of its A$375m public takeover by US-based uranium and critic minerals company, Energy Fuels Inc.

    Advised The European Smaller Companies Trust plc and Henderson Opportunities Trust plc in connection with their defences against the requisitions by Saba.

  • Liberum Capital

    Advised Liberum Capital on its merger with Panmure Gordon to create the UK's largest independent investment bank.

  • Dr. Falk Pharma GmbH

    Advised Dr. Falk Pharma, a German multi-national pharmaceutical company, on its successful acquisition of Kynos Therapeutics, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company spun out from the University of Edinburgh.
