Sam has a broad range of sector expertise across a wide variety of industry sectors but has particular expertise in financial services and technology. 

He uses his broad range of experience to provide commercial and pragmatic advice and to assist clients not just to get deals done but to achieve success. Clients appreciate Sam's ability to understand their strategic objectives and allow them to focus on the valuable issues at hand.

  • The Ardonagh Group    

    Advised the management team of the personal lines broking business of The Ardonagh Group (Atlanta) on its merger with Markerstudy Group to create a major new player in the UK insurance industry with the transaction valuing Atlanta at £1.2billion.

  • Arthur J. Gallagher & Co    

    Advised Arthur J. Gallagher & Co on its acquisition of Stackhouse Poland Group, an independent insurance broker in the UK backed by Synova.

  • Lilley Plummer Risks    

    Advised the shareholders of Lilley Plummer Risks on its sale to Goldman Sachs-backed insurance intermediary, The Clear Group.

  • Alcuin Capital Partners    

    Advised Alcuin Capital Partners on its investment in crew transfer vessel specialist Mainprize Offshore.
