Teresa has years of experience acting for both lenders and borrowers on a wide range of financing transactions, such as syndicated and bilateral loans, margin financing, real estate financing, acquisition finance, project finance and ship finance.

She has also worked on a number of high-profile restructuring and insolvency projects, acting for both financiers and receivers.

She regularly acts for banks, financial institutions and fintech companies around the world. She is familiar with internal banking procedures due to her secondment experience with Standard Chartered Bank and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited.

Acted for a syndicate of 19 banks, in a HK$6,000,000,000 loan arranged for a listed conglomerate in Hong Kong. 

Acted for numerous syndicates in loans backed by mortgage sale and securitisation programs involving Hong Kong property mortgages originated by local banks.

Restructurings

Acted for a major PRC bank in its restructuring of loans in the aggregate amount of US$201,600,000, involving interests in mines held through Kyrgyz Republic companies and various vessels flagged in different jurisdictions.

Belt and Road Initiative projects

Acted for a major PRC asset management group in its provision of loans to Vietnamese project companies under the Belt and Road Initiative through its investment in a Cayman Islands fund, for the development of a commercial and residential complex in Vietnam.

Project finance

Acted for a major bank in its provision of loans to Laos-state owned companies for building of smart-grid electricity projects and building of hydro-electricity plants in Laos.

Assisted various banks and fintech companies in developing their suite of standard documentation suitable for their respective business models.
