A managing associate specialising in planning and environmental law, Sarah has experience of working on a variety of major development projects, both in private practice and local government.  She is practical and client focussed.

Sarah has been involved with a number of major infrastructure projects, such as Crossrail, HS2 and Silvertown Tunnel.  She also has in depth knowledge of the local planning system.  On the environmental side, her experience includes advising in relation to environmental impact assessment and contaminated land.  Sarah is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.

Reviewing and advising the client in relation to the Environmental Statement and other assessments and consents required in respect of the HVDC Cross-Channel electricity interconnector.

Contaminated land

Advising on the decommissioning of a chemical manufacturing plant in Paisley, Scotland and the surrender of environmental permits.

Due diligence

Advising on environmental liability and warranties, including in relation to the acquisition of a lubricant manufacturing business with multiple properties.

Advising the Royal Borough of Greenwich in relation to the Silvertown Tunnel DCO being promoted by Transport for London, including negotiating a settlement agreement.

Planning obligations

Negotiating various S106 agreements and variations in relation to the development of the Greenwich Peninsula.

Community Infrastructure Levy

Advising the Royal Borough of Greenwich on the application of the CIL Regulations, including deemed commencement and the recoverability of surcharges.
