She advises on corporate tax, VAT and stamp taxes, especially reorganisations, debt restructuring, M&A partnerships, real estate, and Fine Art also shareholder-facing taxes on dividends and share disposals.
Maryanna also advises on international tax including planning and transactional advice where there is another jurisdiction involved, in particular USA. As well as cross-border withholding taxes on interest, dividends and royalties, VAT and inbound and outbound investment.
In addition, she has extensive experience of tax issues and disputes such as situations where tax has or could become a problem, imperfectly implemented transactions, situations where tax law has changed, problems arising from tax avoidance schemes, commercial disputes and disputes with HMRC and tax litigation.
Maryanna is a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax technical committees for corporate tax and for international tax.
