Jonathon is a real estate partner and head of our real estate practice. He advises on all aspects of commercial real estate predominantly in the UK and Europe. Clients value his judgement, insight and hands on experience of how to tie the strands of a deal together.

Jonathon acts for commercial and institutional real estate investors, developers and landlord and tenants on individual asset and portfolio purchases and sales, sale and leaseback transactions, forward funding and forward commitment transactions, development projects (including site assembly, pre-lets and development management agreements), joint venture structuring, tax structuring, real estate finance and asset management. He is a member of the BPF and IPF. 
 
Jonathon is described by Legal 500 UK as being "very commercially minded, with a measured approach to negotiations".

Advising LaSalle Investment Management (on behalf of the Alaska Permanent Fund) on the £260 million acquisition of the Bromley shopping centre from intu PLC and its co-investor Arriva, via a corporate investment structure.

SE Holdings

Advising Hong Kong listed real estate investment company SE Holdings on its £258 million acquisition of the company holding 33 Old Broad Street in London, let to HBOS.

LondonMetric

Advising LondonMetric Property Plc (the UK-listed REIT specialising in property investment and development) on the sale of its retail park in Milford Haven for £15 million to the Port of Milford Haven.

Tristan Capital

Advising this real estate investment fund on acquisitions and disposals of commercial real estate assets held in a corporate wrapper. Subsequently advising on the £250 million acquisition of a portfolio of nine out of town retail parks via a corporate wrapper from private equity firm Brockton Capital.
