Imogen is an associate in the employment team, providing pragmatic and commercial advice to employers and senior executives on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment related issues.

Imogen provides practical support and advice on all aspects of employment law. This includes anything from assisting clients with individual or collective redundancy exercises, to advising on ad-hoc holiday pay or National Minimum Wage queries. She also works closely with clients to produce bespoke employment documentation which fits their individual business needs.

Imogen's contentious experience includes advising both individuals and employers bringing or defending complex claims in the Employment Tribunal. She has also represented employers in High Court litigation, and has a particular interest in the enforcement of post termination restrictive covenants. She regularly advises on dismissals and termination packages, including negotiating and drafting Settlement Agreements where appropriate.

Imogen also assists with the employment law aspects of corporate transactions.

She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Imogen qualified in England and Wales in 2016.

Employment documentation

Recently drafted a range of employment documents for international skincare business setting up in the UK including directors' service agreements, employment contracts, consultancy agreements and a staff handbook.

Redundancies and restructuring

Advising clients on the practical, legal and commercial issues which can arise when undertaking collective or individual redundancy exercises, including drafting relevant documentation and assisting with consultation procedures.

Restrictive covenants

Advising both employers and employees on the meaning and enforceability of restrictive covenants. Advising employers as to their enforcement options, including recently representing national hairdressing salon in High Court proceedings against former employee for breach of post termination restrictions.

Settlement Agreements

Drafting, negotiating and reviewing Settlement Agreements helping to ensure that exits are handled sensitively and with as little disruption to the business as possible.

Employment tribunal claims

Acting for both employers and employees in employment tribunal litigation ranging from unfair dismissal and unlawful discrimination, to contractual and TUPE-related claims. Recently achieved a substantial settlement for a senior executive at a private equity firm in relation to their claim for constructive dismissal and sex discrimination.

Disciplinary and grievances

Advising on sensitive grievances, including relating to allegations of sexual harassment, bullying and discrimination, and assisting with complex disciplinary action.
