The firm is managed by experienced Bulgarian and Romanian lawyers, headed by a British solicitor with some sixteen years’ experience of living and practising in the region.
Their business culture and standards of service reflect their origin as a branch office of a City of London firm, their first office having opened as a regional office of the City of London-based law firm Sinclair Roche & Temperley in 1992.
Managing partner Neil McGregor was the first resident expatriate lawyer in that regional office, which later became part of Stephenson Harwood following a merger in London.
In 2004 McGregor & Partners became a fully independent firm with two partners. The Sofia office opened in 2006 under the management of our third partner.
The team now consists of five partners, sixteen other lawyers and support staff, including officially-authorised legal translators.
Their clients are drawn from many countries and sectors, but are principally involved in business or investment. They are particularly known for our work for clients in the energy, shipping, trade and transport sectors. The client base has however expanded to cover many other sectors, particularly private equity and commercial property development.
