Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has been named 'Private Client Law Firm' for the fourth consecutive year, while London-based partner Emily Osborne has won the ‘Best Private Client Lawyer’ award, at the WealthBriefing European Awards.
The awards recognise outstanding achievement and progress across the European wealth management sphere during the last year.
Judges commended the firm for the ways in which it “has embraced new technologies and communications channels in order to put its message across,” and went on to say that, “when coupled with the strength of its private client advice, breadth of coverage and highly rated experts, it offers clients a potent combination.”
Commenting on Osborne's achievement, the judges said: “this exceptional private client lawyer has been involved in some formidable cases, working across a range of complex issues, and doing so in a manner that has impressed all who have come to know her.”
Osborne provides international private wealth and tax advice to families and trustees of family trusts on a variety of issues. Her areas of expertise include establishing wealth preservation structures such as offshore trusts, foundations and companies; family governance and business succession planning; the reporting of beneficial ownership under the various global initiatives and structuring the acquisition and ownership of UK residential property.
Stephenson Harwood's international private wealth team offers clients a wide range of services – including succession planning, tax planning, wealth structuring and asset protection – and acts for a number of family offices, ultra-high-net-worth individuals and trustees.
