Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has promoted three lawyers to partner and one lawyer to local partner, effective 1 May 2017.

Donna Newman has been named a partner in the firm's commercial litigation practice. Based in London, her practice covers a broad spectrum of commercial disputes with a focus on banking, investment and finance disputes. She has experience of acting for and against banks and other financial institutions in both high court litigation and international arbitration.
Sophie Schultz has been named a partner in the firm's commercial litigation practice. Based in London, her practice is focused on property litigation, advising clients including property investors, developers, lenders, corporate occupiers and individuals on every manner of property dispute, with a particular expertise in rights of light and development disputes.
George Vaughton has been named a partner in the firm's finance practice. Based in London, his practice is focused on debt finance, including advising banks, funds, sponsors and corporate clients on a range of real estate finance, acquisition finance, general corporate lending and derivative related transactions.
Elton Chan has been named a partner in the firm's Hong Kong office. A member of the finance practice, his practice is focused on corporate lending and shipping finance, advising clients including lenders, borrowers, shipowners, leasing companies and institutional investors on a wide range of matters.
