Stephenson Harwood partners edit leading AIM guide

Linkedin

Stephenson Harwood partners Tom Nicholls and Tom Page were consultant editors for the eighth edition of ‘A Practitioner's Guide to the AIM Rules’, which was published by Sweet & Maxwell, a Thomson Reuters business.

The publication is an established handbook for senior management in AIM listed companies and in companies looking to list. It provides a comprehensive and practical approach to the requirements behind an AIM listing, and the ongoing obligations after IPO. This eighth edition has been updated to include guidance on the Market Abuse Regulation, Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II, the Prospectus Regime (AIM Notice 56) and AIM Notice 57. It covers a range of topics, including the roles of the solicitor, accountant and nominated adviser, broking and trading rules, the impact of Financial Conduct Authority enforcement actions, tax issues, corporate governance and the duties of directors.

Nicholls is head of Stephenson Harwood’s corporate group. His practice includes advising on IPOs and secondary issues (Main Market and AIM) both in London and internationally, public company takeovers, investment funds, domestic and cross border private M&A, and advising quoted companies on their obligations to the FCA and the London Stock Exchange.

Page has extensive experience advising on all aspects of corporate finance, including capital markets, takeovers and M&A, mid and large cap and cross border transactions, restructurings and joint ventures.

They each authored a chapter, in addition to their editing role, and were assisted by other members of the Stephenson Harwood equity capital markets team, including partner David Dowding.
