Stephenson Harwood joins All Aboard Alliance

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has joined Global Maritime Forum's (GMF) All Aboard Alliance. In celebration of the Day of the Seafarer, the firm is announcing that, as part of its contribution to the Alliance, it will offer secondments to seafarers employed by members of the Alliance.

The Alliance has been created by a group of maritime industry leaders who are united by an ambition to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in all maritime organisations – at sea and onshore.

"Navigating successfully the disruption which will come from decarbonisation, digitalisation and automation requires the broadest possible pool of talent," said Haris Zografakis, partner, Stephenson Harwood, who leads the firm’s partnership with the GMF. "The aims of the All Aboard Alliance fit within our firm’s wider diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. We're particularly looking forward to playing our part in bridging the gap between 'ship and shore'; as part of our involvement with the Alliance, we will be inviting seafarers to our offices where they will experience first-hand that seafarers and maritime lawyers are members of the same maritime community, and that there is a career path from sea to shore, including as a maritime lawyer."

Stephenson Harwood is recognised as having one of the world’s leading international maritime, transportation and trade practices. With offices in key trading hubs, the firm offers comprehensive, specialist advice with a reputation for strength and depth and a strong commercial focus. Stephenson Harwood’s lawyers are market-leading and uniquely specialist in all aspects of international maritime trade, both contentious and non-contentious, including ship finance, marine insurance and commodities trading.
