Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Vietnam Enterprise Investments Limited (VEIL) on its admission to listing on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. VEIL's shares were previously traded on the Irish Stock Exchange.
VEIL is an investment holding company whose principal activity is investing, directly or indirectly, in a diversified portfolio of equity securities in companies primarily operating in, or with significant exposure to, Vietnam. Launched in 1995, VEIL is the longest-running fund with a focus on Vietnam and one of the largest offshore listed vehicles dedicated to investment in the country. VEIL has seen strong investment performance and now has assets of approximately US$890 million. VEIL is managed by the Dragon Capital Group, an investment management group with a long-standing focus on Vietnam and the south-east Asian region. The migration of VEIL to the London Stock Exchange is a key move for Dragon, designed to boost the profile of their flagship fund as they position it for further growth.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by corporate partner Alex Haynes, who was assisted by corporate associates Nick Horton and Alan Sauvain and corporate trainee Henry Pelling.
