Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised the Saint-Gobain Group, through its subsidiary Ecophon, on its acquisition of the Clipso group.
Ecophon, which is based in Sweden, has business units in 20 countries, delegations in another 30 countries, and approximately 1,100 employees. The company develops, manufactures, and markets acoustic products and systems that contribute to a good working environment by enhancing peoples' well-being and performance.
The Clipso group designs, manufactures and sells technical solutions whichoffer excellent acoustic performance, quick, simple installation, and that can be adapted to residential, public and professional areas. The company relies on a network of 1,500 certified independent installers, and sells its products mainly in Europe (55%) and the United States (25%).
The Stephenson Harwood Paris-based multi-disciplinary team comprised partners Guillaume Briant (corporate), Olivier Couraud (tax), Jean-Julien Lemonnier (competition), Soazig Préteseille (employment), Boriana Guimberteau (intellectual property), and their respective teams. Further international support was provided by Dubai-based managing associate Toufic Safie.
