Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Orange Growth Capital (OGC) on its investment in Trussle Lab Ltd, a pioneering online mortgage broker.
OGC, a Dutch venture capital firm with offices in London, Amsterdam and Singapore and which focuses on high growth financial technology companies, led the funding round, which included Zoopla Property Group and raised £4.5 million for Trussle. Existing investors of Trussle include Seedcamp, Betfair Founder Ed Wray and Ian Hogarth, the co-founder of Songkick.
The online mortgage broker, which was founded in 2015, offers a free advisory service to help first-time buyers and existing homeowners save time and money using software to find the most suitable deals. The money raised will be used to develop the product and continue growing the brand.
"It was a pleasure to work again with existing client OGC on its investment in Trussle, which is an innovator in the mortgage broking space," said Sam Gray, partner, Stephenson Harwood. "Our role on this deal adds to our impressive track record of advising investors and businesses in the technology space."
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by corporate finance partner Sam Gray and was supported by associate Brendan Sheehan.
