Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Quark Expeditions and Travelopia on a series of transactions in relation to the financing and acquisition of Ultramarine, a newly built polar expedition cruise vessel which sets sail this week.
Ultramarine, which will be operated by Quark Expeditions and is the newest ship in its fleet, will embark on its first expedition to the Antarctic on 25 November 2021. The 199 passenger capacity ship was built by Brodosplit, Croatia's largest shipyard, and designed by LMG Marin, the European naval architect.
"We'd like to congratulate Ultramarine's team and wish them the best of luck, as the vessel sets sail this week on its maiden voyage to the Antarctic," said Neil Noble, partner, Stephenson Harwood. "We’ve advised Quark Expeditions and Travelopia on a series of matters over the recent years – specifically related to the financing and the delivery of the vessel – and we look forward to seeing Ultramarine assume a leading role in future polar exploration excursions."
The Stephenson Harwood team involved in the series of transactions included partners Neil Noble and Sean Gibbons and senior associate Shaun Park.
