Stephenson Harwood advises on restructuring of Bolton Wanderers FC
Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised on the sale of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, on behalf of its joint administrators Paul Appleton and Asher Miller of David Rubin & Partners, to Football Ventures (Whites) Limited.
“This was a challenging and complex restructuring on which to advise,” said Stuart Frith, partner, Stephenson Harwood. “This sale has secured the future of Bolton Wanderers FC, which was looking increasingly uncertain, and we were pleased to be able to play a role in ensuring a satisfactory outcome. We wish the new owners the best of luck and look forward to seeing how the club will develop under the leadership of its new owners.”
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by restructuring and insolvency partner Stuart Frith and corporate partner Karima Hudson, who were supported by senior associate Nick Axup, consultant Stewart Scott, and associates Caleb Bompas and David Harris. Partner Paul Reeves and associate Laura Anderson advised on employment law aspects.
