Law firm Stephenson Harwood has advised Hong Kong Cruise and Yacht Industry Charitable Foundation Limited on the launch of Hong Kong's first superyacht management services centre.
The establishment of this centre is a significant milestone for Hong Kong's superyacht industry. It reflects the Chinese government's strategy to expand the country's maritime economy, central to which is encouraging key superyacht builders from the UK, Netherlands, Germany and Italy to invest in super-yacht operations in Hong Kong. The centre, located at the Yiu Lian and Euroasia Dockyards, will provide modification, maintenance and repair services for super yachts over 45 metres.
