Stephenson Harwood advises LOD on strategic partnership with SYKE

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Lawyers on Demand (LOD), the alternative legal services provider, on its strategic partnership with SYKE, the legal technology firm. Alongside the partnership, LOD has invested in SYKE to support the further growth and development of the business.

By combining their expertise in legal technology and talent, SYKE and LOD will provide clients with a wide range of holistic and cost-effective solutions to address the challenges of growing demand and increasing efficiency. Founded in 2007, LOD has more than 1,000 legal professionals based in the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. In 2018, it announced its partnership with Bowmark Capital, on which Stephenson Harwood also advised.

SYKE will remain a separate brand and corporate entity, under the leadership of CEO and founder, Alistair Maiden, and COO, Lewis Bretts.

The Stephenson Harwood team comprised partners Adam Crossley, Jonathan Pittal and Daniel Margolis, who were supported by senior associates Lucy Thorpe and Nicola Baird, and associate Iqra Anees.
