Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Kroll, a global provider of services and digital products related to governance, risk and transparency, on its acquisition of Redscan, a UK-based cyber security services provider.
Kroll, formerly known as Duff & Phelps, works with clients across a range of sectors, including valuation, expert services, investigations, cyber security, corporate finance, restructuring, legal and business solutions, data analytics and regulatory compliance.
Redscan’s offering – with its extended detection and response (XDR) enabled security operations centre (SOC) platform – enhances Kroll’s existing managed security capabilities in the EU, and strengthens its ability to support a wider array of cloud and on-premise telemetry sources.
The multi-disciplinary Stephenson Harwood team was led by corporate partner Duncan Stiles, who was supported by senior associate Chris Cowley, and associates Harry Wilson and Josh Billig. Further support was provided by: incentives partner Barbara Allen and associate Thomas Leatherby; tax partner Maryanna Sharrock; employment partner Paul Reeves and associates Imogen Heywood and Elspeth Hunt; immigration consultant Kimia Sepahzad; pensions partner Philip Goodchild, senior associate Naeem Noor and associate Julia Cooper; competition partner Marta Garcia and associate Will Spens; COT partner Naomi Leach, senior associate David Berry, and associates Kate Ackland and Olivia Fraser; IP partner Alexandra Pygall and associate Andrea Constantine; and real estate partner Catriona Berman and senior associate Siobhan Doherty.
