Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Global Chartering Limited (GCL) in relation to a US$30 million loan facility from BNP Paribas (BNPP).
The loan facility will assist GCL with its acquisition of the vessels AM POINT LISAS, AM GHENT and AM TUBARAO, which are coming off long-term leases. GCL is a joint venture between ArcelorMittal, a world leading steel and mining company, and Drylog, a renowned dry bulk shipping company. GCL currently operates 47 dry cargo vessels, which range from Supramax to Cape Size.
