Stephenson Harwood advises Elysian Capital on Eton Bridge Partners deal

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Elysian Capital on its acquisition and investment, in conjunction with management, in Eton Bridge Partners Ltd.

Elysian Capital is an independent private equity firm focused on the lower mid-market in the UK and Ireland. It acquires majority stakes in growth businesses valued between £20 million and £100 million. This transaction represents the first investment in the Elysian Capital III LP Fund, which closed in September 2020 at £325 million.

Founded in 2010, Eton Bridge Partners is an executive search, interim management and consulting firm, which has developed practices across corporate boards, finance, HR, business transformation, digital and technology, legal, and sales and marketing. This deal will enable Eton Bridge Partners to expand the business’s offering and reach.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by private equity partner Malcolm MacDougall, who was supported by private equity senior associates Chris Manning and Nicola Baird and associate Dafni Loizou. Further assistance was provided by tax and incentives partner John Meehan and of counsel David Baxter, and employment senior associate Richard Freedman and associate Elspeth Hunt. The banking side of the transaction was led by leveraged finance partner Julie Romer, who was supported by senior associate Chrissy Vassiliou and legal assistants Valentina Nikiforova and Alexandra Tomlinson.
