Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised the Civis PFI/PPP Infrastructure Fund, which is owned by PGGM, on its acquisition of Amey PLC’s management services business.
Civis is an infrastructure investment manager that owns and operates a £220 million portfolio of health, education, accommodation and waste projects in UK and Ireland consisting largely of PPP/PFI concessions. Amey PLC is a UK-based infrastructure support service provider with a turnover of £2.1 billion, and its management services business operates numerous UK-based PPP/PFI special purpose vehicles for equity investors across a range of sectors. Civis acquired the business through its dedicated management services business Albany Infrastructure Management, a provider of general manager, financial control and company secretary services to PFI/PPP investments.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by partners Jonathan Cripps and Ben Mercer, who were assisted by associate James Day.
