Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Civica, a private equity backed business, on its acquisition of ntropy data, Inc. Civica UK Limited, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, acquired the specialist customer engagement software provider.

Civica is a global business specialising in software for public services, and is backed by private equity fund Partners Group. ntropy’s specialist capabilities enable Civica to expand and enhance its existing portfolio, and further support its cloud-based growth strategy.

US-based ntropy works with clients in the UK, USA and Australia, including Tourism Northern Ireland, City of Sydney, Times Square Alliance and City and County of San Francisco.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by private equity partner Malcolm MacDougall, with support from senior associate Lucy Thorpe and associate Dafni Loizou.
