Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Civica, a private equity backed business, on its acquisition of Agylia Group, a specialist educational software provider.
Civica is a global business specialising in software for public services, and is backed by private equity fund Partners Group. This acquisition adds strong learning management capabilities to its growing human capital management business, and further supports its overall growth strategy.
Founded in the UK in 2000, Agylia is a digital learning company, which helps organisations around the world support, develop and engage their employees through learning management and eLearning solutions. It supports more than 200,000 learners across its digital platforms, working with a broad range of clients, including the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the Ministry of Defence, Royal Society for Public Health, National Grid, Samaritans and Microsoft.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by private equity partner Malcolm MacDougall, with support from senior associate Lucy Thorpe and associate Dafni Loizou.
