Stephenson Harwood LLP chief executive Sharon White has won the 'Outstanding Achievement in Legal Services' award at The Legal 500 UK awards 2019.

The awards recognise and reward the very best lawyers and law firms from across the legal industry, and are based on the publication's research for the UK edition.

White has been honoured for making a real difference to the profession through her work, and serving as a role model for future generations of women in the legal sector. She was one of seven women, who work in private practice or were originally from private practice, who were recognised this year.

White, who has been the chief executive of Stephenson Harwood since 2009, is responsible for the management and strategic direction of the firm. She joined the firm in 1988 and became a partner in 1997, specialising in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
