Stephenson Harwood senior partner Roland Foord has been named in Spear's Magazine's 2022 list of best art lawyers for high-net-worth individuals in the UK.
Spear’s, the wealth management magazine, compiles an annual index of art lawyers, who are the best experts specialising in matters of sale and purchase, tax, ownership, authenticity, and a host of other issues.
In its indices, the publication said: "commercial litigator and fine art lawyer, Roland Foord has over 40 years of experience in advising a wide pool of clients including auction houses, dealers, museums, and private collectors. His areas of expertise are all-compassing in relation to the fine art sector and he is often used as a sounding board in matters of sale and purchase, exportation, looted art, alongside a multitude of other issues." The commentary also noted that Foord "is praised for his efficiency, diligence, and tactical skills."
Foord is a commercial disputes expert, who has a wide range of experience particularly in the professional services and fine art sectors. He leads the firm's teams in these sectors and is highly ranked in them by the directories. In the fine art sector, Foord advises a broad range of clients from auction houses and dealers to museums and private collectors.
