Stephenson Harwood Dubai office managing partner Rania Tadros has been honoured with the 'Woman in Shipping Award' at The Maritime Standard Awards 2022. 

A renowned shipping, offshore and trade lawyer, Rania is the managing partner of Stephenson Harwood's Dubai office and leads the firm's marine and international trade team in the Middle East. She has more than 20 years’ experience advising clients on shipping and offshore energy disputes, as well as providing commercial support to companies in the shipping and offshore sectors.

The annual Maritime Standard Awards, which took place at The Atlantis Palm, Dubai, showcase excellence across the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent, covering different aspects of the maritime industry, as well as individual achievements.

Rania received the award in recognition of her work in, and significant and lasting contribution to, the shipping and maritime sector, as well as her exceptional leadership qualities and championing of diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Throughout her career she has proactively promoted female initiatives within both the maritime and legal community. Most recently, Rania has become President of Women in Shipping and Trade Association's (WISTA)’s UAE branch to support women in the maritime sector achieve their career objectives.
