Stephenson Harwood partner Elizabeth Sloane has been appointed President of the Hong Kong Chapter of the Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA).

Formed in 1974, WISTA is a global organization connecting female executives and decision-makers around the world. It has a network of more than 3,800 professionals from all areas of the maritime industry. Sloane has been an active committee member for the Hong Kong network since 2017, and has hosted various events for members in support of the shipping industry.

Sloane, who is based in Stephenson Harwood’s Hong Kong office, specialises in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration. She has extensive experience in a range of commercial disputes, including cross-border fraud, corporate insolvency, and marine litigation and arbitration.
