Stephenson Harwood partners Huay Yee Kwan and Katherine Liu have been recognised in Asian Legal Business’ (ALB) 40 under 40 2020 list.

ALB's 40 under 40 list – chosen from more than 400 lawyers across Asia – showcases 40 lawyers in the region, who have been selected based on the quality of their work on important deals, key disputes and other innovative approaches.

The publication describes Huay Yee Kwan as being “a shipping and offshore finance expert” and “a key member of the asset finance team”, while highlighting Katherine Liu’s expertise as being “one of the first lawyers in the market to advise on the regulatory aspects regarding the e-wallet/e-payment regulations in Hong Kong”.

Huay Yee Kwan is a partner based in the firm’s Singapore office. She advises on high value and complex transactions for clients, with her experience encompassing a variety of asset classes, including offshore assets and maritime containers.

Katherine Liu is a partner based in the firm’s Hong Kong office. She advises clients on legal and regulatory issues arising from financial services laws and regulations, and also advises on employment and personal data laws.
