Stephenson Harwood partner Emily Osborne, a member of the firm's private wealth practice, has been named 'Rising Star of the Year' at the Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) Awards 2018.
The awards, presented at a ceremony in London, celebrate the most influential and successful lawyers, law firms and chambers in the private wealth space in the UK and offshore. The annual HNW guide, launched in 2016, covers more than 50 countries around the world, and focuses exclusively on advisers to high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals.
Commenting on Osborne's achievement, the Judges said: she is "excellent technically, understands tax law extremely well and has a really good knowledge of the way tax interacts with law."
Osborne, an experienced private wealth advisor, provides advice to families and their offshore trustees on a variety of issues, including moving to the UK, the use of wealth preservation structures such as trusts, foundations and companies, the ownership of UK residential property, tax disclosures, and the reporting of beneficial ownership under the various global initiatives. She is an expert on offshore unregistered pension schemes and advises on IPPs, EFRBS, QROPS and QNUPS, acting for both scheme trustees and their members.
