Cliodhna McDonough joins Stephenson Harwood

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its life sciences and consumer practices with the arrival of Cliodhna McDonough, who joins the firm's London office as a full-time consultant.

McDonough, dual qualified as both a clinical dietitian and a regulatory lawyer, brings more than 10 years of experience across the life sciences, food and drink, and cosmetic sectors. She has considerable clinical experience and was a member of the Government State Board of Ireland’s multi-profession health regulator CORU for four years, having been appointed by the Irish Minister of Health in 2013. McDonough joins Stephenson Harwood from William Fry.

"Cliodhna is an experienced and highly regarded lawyer who brings a wealth of clinical expertise and regulatory knowledge," said Stephenson Harwood partner, and head of the firm's life sciences practice, Alexandra Pygall. "Her scientific background will enable her to give legal advice which is grounded in the context of our clients' businesses. Her arrival not only strengthens our life sciences and consumer practices, it enables us to expand the support we provide our clients. She will be a valuable asset to our team."

Stephenson Harwood's award-winning life sciences and consumer teams support clients on a complete range of legal issues in the sectors, and have considerable experience advising on both domestic and international matters.
