Stephenson Harwood Paris-based banking and finance partner Yann Beckers and associate Borislava Koleva, alongside R&I of counsel Alexandre Koenig and M&A/private equity partners Clotilde Billat and Guillaume Briant, have written a chapter on acquisition finance in France for Getting the Deal Through's edition of 'Acquisition Finance 2022'. They address a number of topics, including the general structuring of financing, guarantees and collateral, debt commitment letters and acquisition agreements, and the enforcement of claims and insolvency, with a particular focus on the impact of the reforms of French security law and French insolvency law resulting from two government ordinances of 15 September 2021.
