International debt-restructuring: Can other jurisdictions compete with London and New York?


Six international lawyers, a barrister, a banker, a restructuring practitioner and a judge met at Stephenson Harwood in London to consider whether emerging centres of international debt restructuring will be able to compete with traditional centres.

Legislative changes in Singapore and the EU, Brexit, and the increasing importance of jurisdictions servicing debt linked to China, are about to change the global cross-border insolvency and restructuring landscape.
