A tale of winners and losers: an overview of the UK/EU free trade agreement

On Christmas Eve, Boris Johnson and Ursula von der Leyen announced that they had – finally – agreed terms for a free trade agreement to apply on a provisional basis (pending ratification by the European Parliament) from the end of the Brexit transition period on New Year's Eve. The agreement – termed a "Trade and Cooperation Agreement" - runs to some 1,250 pages and sets out how the trade in goods and services between the UK and the EU will operate post-Brexit.
