Yumi advises financial institutions, lessors and airlines on aviation finance. She has advised on a variety of financing, lease novation, refinancing and restructuring transactions with a particular focus on airlines and has experience in advisory work.
Yumi has advised airlines on cross-border refinancing, leasing and restructuring transactions, involving multiple jurisdictions including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, France and Ireland.
Her transactions include advising on the sale, financing and leasing of a portfolio of 21 aircraft by an airline group, advising on the restructuring of an entire lease portfolio for an airline group to help optimise operations and revenue, advising an airline group on the restructuring and renegotiation of lease terms for a portfolio of more than 50 aircraft on lease from more than five separate lessors, advising Lion Air Group and its subsidiaries on its aircraft fleet portfolio transfers of B737 aircraft and A330 aircraft leases from multiple lessor groups, and advising a privately owned global energy and commodities company on the negotiation of multi-million dollar facilities. Prior to joining Stephenson Harwood, Yumi worked at a local boutique law firm advising financial institutions, multinational corporations and Singapore incorporated companies on a range of financing and general corporate work.
