Tze-wei brings deep knowledge of charities and social innovation to her advice to philanthropic foundations and private clients. As part of the private wealth team she also has experience in trusts, wills, estate planning and administration. She is known for her understanding of the increased mixed use of non-profit and for-profit tools in creating impact, which allows her to provide tailored solutions to enable strategic philanthropy and social entrepreneurship.

Tze-wei advises clients across the impact spectrum: from charities and philanthropists, to purpose-driven companies and ESG & impact investors.

She regularly advises charities and social enterprises in relation to structuring, tax exemption status, and governance. She advises both family and corporate foundations in structuring complex giving arrangements. She was involved in the setting up of some of Hong Kong’s earliest social finance platforms and vehicles, and is active in B Corp and purpose-driven business discussions in Hong Kong. 

She co-authored the inaugural chapter on “Impact & ESG Investing” on Hong Kong (2021) for Lexology GTDT.

She is committed to pro bono work, and remains active as board director and advisor to various charities in Hong Kong, working on issues from social inclusion to women empowerment.

She is a board member of esela – The legal network for social impact, an international network of lawyers focused on the impact practice.

She was a member of the founding team of Sustainable Finance Initiative, which aims at building a community of private investors in Asia active in impact investing.
