Tom is an associate in the firm's banking and finance team. He has a variety of experience acting for both lender and borrower clients on a range of debt financings in a number of different sectors.

Tom's real estate finance experience includes advising lenders and borrowers on both investment and development real estate financings, and he has worked on financings at all stages of the development process, from pre-planning to post-practical completion.

His borrower-side experience includes advising hotel businesses on financing the acquisition and development of sites, both in London and various other locations in the UK. He has also advised property investors on the acquisition of large multi-use sites throughout the UK.

Tom's experience also includes advising on various acquisition finance transactions, including advising Northern & Shell in connection with the finance aspects of the sale of the Express Newspapers group to Trinity Mirror.

He has also advised various entities on bond loan note issues, including advising a UK-based investment manager on the refinancing of its student housing portfolio and acquisition of two new properties by way of a £35 million 'tap' bond issue.

Advising Barings on a £62,000,000 investment finance transaction in connection with the acquisition of a portfolio of social housing by a Canadian asset management firm.

Advising a UK-based investment manager on the refinancing of its student housing portfolio and the acquisition of two new properties by way of a £35 million 'tap' bond issue.

Advising a UK joint venture on the debt finance aspects of an acquisition of two new subsidiaries and the subsequent implementation of a group reorganisation.

Advising a lender in relation to a £6 million refinancing of its existing debt facilities made available to an SME based in Cambridge offering solutions and services to broadband users.

Advising the Northern & Shell group on the finance aspects of its sale of the Express Newspapers group to Trinity Mirror.
