Stephanie is a managing associate in our Hong Kong office who has a broad range of experience in handling civil and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on shareholders’ disputes, insolvency and restructuring, and company law related matters (including unfair prejudice and breach of fiduciary duties). Her experience in litigation and disputes management extends to contentious proceedings commencing in the courts of Hong Kong, the People’s Republic of China, India, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands.

Stephanie obtained her LLB degree at Bristol University in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining our Hong Kong office, Stephanie worked as an associate in the litigation and dispute management department of an international law firm. She has appeared regularly in the High Court of Hong Kong and has substantive experience in managing multi-jurisdictional litigations and arbitrations.
  • Restructuring and insolvency

Parallel winding up proceedings in Hong Kong and Cayman Islands

Advising a subsidiary of a Hong Kong listed co. on its HK$200 million worth claim against a Cayman Island fund and its Hong Kong based personal and corporate guarantors.  Successfully obtained winding up orders in both Hong Kong and Cayman Islands and appointing liquidators respectively.  Advising and managing the subsequent debt recovery and enforcements in various jurisdictions (including Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Cayman Islands).

Court appointed administrator of a former HK Listed co

Advising the administrator in the proper way in dissolving companies under the laws in Hong Kong and Cayman Islands respectively, in order to discharge the administrator's duties to the Court.

Foreign bank

Advised a foreign based bank in relation to its facility granted to PRC individuals and a Hong Kong listed co. and its relating claims upon the borrowers' default, including winding up and bankruptcy proceedings.  Acting on its behalf in enforcement proceedings against various securities; and its priority among all debtors' claims.
