Sean is a partner in the firm's banking team, acting for both lender and borrower clients on a range of debt financings, with particular expertise in real estate financing and corporate lending transactions. He has comprehensive experience advising stakeholders on a range of investment and development property financings.

Sean advises lenders and borrowers on a range of secured and unsecured debt financing transactions, frequently with a cross-border element. He acts for an array of clients, including the UK clearers, international banks, alternative lenders, funds, joint venture vehicles and corporates from around the world.

His expertise lies in corporate lending and real estate finance transactions. In real estate finance, Sean has been involved in some of the most high profile financings of super prime residential developments in the London market. He has also advised a number of lenders and borrowers on investment financing for a range of assets: retail, industrial, student accommodation, hotels and commercial offices, including large portfolio acquisitions.

Lavendon Group plc

Negotiated the extension and amendment of Lavendon's existing £50 million and €60 million revolving bank credit facilities and in issuing new loan notes by way of US Private Placement with a value of €35 million. Lavendon is a LSE listed plc and the market leader in the rental of powered access equipment in Europe and the Gulf states. This deal involved close co-operation with (and co-ordinating) lawyers across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Margin loan - £210 million facilities

Advised vehicles controlled by an ultra-high net worth individual in securing debt facilities with multiple financiers to acquire shares in a company listed on the London Stock Exchange.

RBS - £40 million financing

Advised The Royal Bank of Scotland plc on a credit facility to a listed REIT for the purpose of financing investments.

International consortium (including Native Land) -  £433 million development financing

Advised an international consortium in negotiating a £433 million acquisition and development financing arrangement with Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation and Development Bank of Singapore to acquire and develop a site located at Ludgate & Sampson House next to Blackfriars Bridge, London into Bankside Quarter, a 1.4 million sq ft residential, office and retail development.

HSBC Bank plc - £88 million hotel financing

Advised HSBC Bank plc on a £88 million refinancing for the Raag Hotel Group (who operate Tune Hotels, who run 8 hotels in the UK and 24 globally) secured against 4 hotels located in Westminster, Canary Wharf, Kings Cross and Liverpool Street, London.

Wells Fargo - £185 million financing for Shopping Centre acquisition

Advised Wells Fargo on a £185 million debt facility to a joint venture owned by The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (a public pension scheme) and AEW Global Limited (a leading European Real Estate Investment company with €18.2 billion of assets under management) to finance the acquisition of Festival Place Shopping Centre in Basingstoke, a 1.1 million square foot shopping centre which houses over 200 shops.

RBS - £25 million real estate investment financing

Acted for RBS in relation to £25 million acquisition and development facilities to Oxenwood Catalina Limited, an equity joint venture between Oxenwood Real Estate Capital LP and Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd, a Bermuda based reinsurance investment company, to enable it to purchase various logistics assets.
