Sean has over 29 years of experience as a lawyer in four different jurisdictions, with 24 of those years based in the Middle East. During that time, he has specialised in major infrastructure projects across the power, water and industrial sectors, corporate commercial (including investigatory and mergers and acquisition work), tourism and property development work.
Sean also advises on major infrastructure projects ranging between ports, petrochemical plants, real estate, tourism developments, oil and gas related and infrastructure.
Sean has worked on a wide variety of internal corporate and government investigations, IPOs, drafting of laws for regional governments and structuring of regional corporate vehicles for multinational businesses. He has extensive experience in Sultanate of Oman, having lived/worked in that jurisdiction since 1991.
Sean has been previously engaged by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman to review and redraft the Oman Commercial Companies Law.
He has undertaken several regional corporate restructuring exercises for numerous multinational businesses operating in the Middle East.
He also frequently advises international corporates on how to best set up their regional preferences and works on franchising and distributorship arrangements.
