Reem is a bilingual (English and Arabic) paralegal in the firm's marine and international trade department. She is currently preparing for the Solicitors Qualification Examination and upon successful completion, Reem will become a solicitor qualified in English law.

Reem specialises in resolving disputes for clients spanning diverse sectors including maritime, international trade and general commercial matters. She has exceptional research skills and vast expertise in conducting pre-litigation investigations, as well as drafting and reviewing legal documents in both English and Arabic.

In addition to her contentious work, Reem has substantial experience in providing advice on corporate and commercial issues. With degrees in both Law and Economics, she has a unique ability to understand her clients corporate and commercial-related matters effectively.

Providing advice to numerous international bunkering and ship management companies on establishing branches/subsidiaries in the UAE (both onshore and in free zones), and overseeing the process until full incorporation on behalf of the clients.

Assisting with in conducting due diligence processes for acquisitions and prepared corporate due diligence reports for various target entities located in the UAE.

Advising a semi-government stevedoring company in the process of establishing a private joint stock company under the Abu Dhabi Economic Department.

Drafting rules and regulations for a KSA government entity relating to marine tourism in the Red Sea. Project includes drafting rules and regulations in respect of pleasure boats, yachts, water toys, ports, marinas and cruise ships.

Supporting the team who advised the Department of Municipalities and Transport regarding their rules and regulations and revised the Abu Dhabi Port Safety Regulations and related port books. Reem assisted with the reviewing and updated the regulations, align the Port Rules with the Regulations and finalise the documents with the technical and legal team of the DMAT in both English/Arabic language.

Providing support in addressing multiple claims against charterers regarding outstanding demurrage payments within charterparty agreements.

Assisting multiple clients with the submission of payment orders for maritime debts.
