Reem understands that dealing with employees requires discretion and quite often, a sensitive yet commercial approach. Reem has experience providing day-to-day advisory support, assisting with contentious matters, and defending claims in the Employment Tribunal. 

Reem has experience advising human resource managers, in-house counsel and other senior personnel on a variety of employee relations issues.

Reem's experience includes: drafting key documentation such as service agreements, employment contracts and policies/procedures; drafting restrictive covenants; providing performance management, disciplinary and grievance advice; advising on senior termination and exits; and managing litigation (including complex Employment Tribunal claims and High Court claims).

Advisory employment support

Drafting, reviewing and amending employment documentation such as employment contracts, executive service agreements, policies and staff handbooks. This could be for a client setting up its first base in the UK or for employers looking to refresh and update their existing documentation. This covers all employment related documentation. 

Senior terminations and settlement agreements

Advising on sensitive executive exits - including drafting and negotiating settlement agreements for employer and employee clients to ensure exits are handled in a secure and smooth manner.

International advice 

Advising internationally based clients on employment law in the UK, and co-ordinating international projects and advice. Global project experience includes largescale employment contract updates, policies, or procuring of specific advice needed.

Employment Tribunal/High Court proceedings

Acting for employers in Employment Tribunal and High Court proceedings and advising on pre-litigation disputes and investigations. Experience extends to unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing.  

Transactional support

Provides transactional support, undertake employment-related due diligence, and assists with TUPE warranties and indemnities.
