Peter has extensive experience in the trust industry since 1986 in Hong Kong, Singapore and Guernsey, advising high net worth individuals, family offices and financial institutions in the area of wealth planning, including the use of companies, trusts, wills, foundations and other fiduciary structures. He has broad experience in banking, finance, wealth management and fiduciary services. He has worked as legal counsel in the legal departments of the Jardine Matheson Group, Standard Chartered Bank Trustees and has been the managing director of two bank owned trust companies in Hong Kong.
Peter also has experience as a mediator and facilitator in trust and finance related disputes, and has acted as an expert witness in trust cases. He was also an adjunct professor of Law at Hong Kong University teaching the Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning Module on the Hong Kong PCLL and Equity & Trusts Law to Faculty of Law LLB students.
Peter is also a long standing STEP tutor on the International Diploma in Trust Management since 2002 teaching trust and company law face to face courses in Hong Kong, Guernsey, Jersey, Switzerland, Bahamas and Bermuda. Peter also teaches the Compliance Law in Practice Masterclass on the STEP Post Graduate Diploma in Private Wealth Advising held by STEP at Oxford University and is one of the assessors on that programme.
