Natasja advises and represents clients on a broad range of commercial matters, including mining, oil and gas and shipping disputes, construction disputes and insurance matters. She has a particular expertise in arbitration proceedings (predominantly ICC and DIFC-LCIA) and DIFC employment matters. Natasja was involved in the precedent setting case on the application of the Article 18 Employment Law penalty in the DIFC.
She has acted for and represented a variety of clients in DIFC-LCIA and ICC arbitrations, the DIFC Court, the Courts of Western Australia and the Federal Court of Australia. Her clients vary from conglomerates to large and mid-size companies, insurers and individuals.
Natasja also has experience in shareholder disputes, advising directors and officers, statutory investigations, civil penalty proceedings and property disputes.
She trained and worked in Australia on complex, large scale litigation in the natural resources sector. In Australia, Natasja also acted for the largest insurer of medical professionals in Australia, representing a wide range of medical professionals in disciplinary proceedings, vocational regulation proceedings and common law negligence claims. She also sat on the Football West Disciplinary Tribunal.
Natasja is registered with the Dubai Legal Affairs Department and the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia. She is also a DIFC Part II registered practitioner, and is admitted to appear the Courts of Western Australia and the Federal Court of Australia.
